Flying home.

Hello,

I'm giddy as heck today!  Tomorrow I am flying to Idaho to meet my sister's baby boy Jacob...of course, there will be lot's of catching up with the family and hopefully some friends too.  I get to make this trip solo (thanks babe!).   I have a lot of catching up to do tonight to make sure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for Bran and the kids.

Quick mental notes:

  • Groceries.  Check.
  • laundry done.  Check.
  • Clean (mostly santiary home)...hmmm.  Okay. I'll have to do some work tonight.
  • Boarding Pass.  Check. (Thanks again B).
  • Packed.  No. Eek! Yikes!

Alright.  Lot's of work to be done before I can officially say I am on vacation.

(Shriek!)  I'm going to be too excited to sleep tonight.

Almost 3rd grader...

This year flew!  I am now realizing that tomorrow is Issy's last day of 2nd grade. EVER.  Eeek!
1st year of  Catholic school went  well.  I still say that her public school in Idaho was 100 times better, but...
Anyway...  Remember how excited she was about the pretty uniform at the beginning of the year?  Well, she hates it now.  She says it's hard for her to show her true personality when she has to wear the same things as everyone else.  haha.  So funny.

My darling Issy, I think your goofy, smart personally shines through any outfit any day.

I'm proud of you.  So SUPER proud!

Update

I feel like woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.    I yelled too much this morning,  and I feel super guilty about it.  To top things off, it's been raining around here, so the drive to work was awful.

I dont normally like nag, or  talk about myself, but the truth is that there has been a lot going on with me lately, and the anxiety of all of it is making me super tense (aka bitchy!).

On Monday, I had an Upper GI Endoscopy. I've had issues with my stomach since I can remember and finally, after putting off for so many years I talked to my doctor about everything .  That of course lead to a refereal to a Gastroenterologist, who ordered the Endoscopy and blood work.    The procedure itself went really well.  Bran did an excellent job at taking care of me that day, which was super sweet!
I did find out that I have mild gastritis.  I'm not sure what exactly this means, (I was too drowsy to ask any questions) but I know I'll find out when I go back for my follow up. The next step is to wait for my blood work, which will be testing for Celiac Desease and schedule a lactose breath test.

My primary doctor also ordered me to go to a cardiologist for a holter monitor test.  Aparently my heart beat is running a few beats  slower than they would like (55-56 bpm, instead of the normal 60-100 bpm), it's not super slow,  but aparently it's concerning enough that she wanted me to get it checked out.   I'm still waiting for those results.

Work is crazy busy as always.  All the time I've had to take off to appointments, has me feeling a little behind with my normal schedule, but I chug along try to remind myself that it's time to take care of me.

I'm still doing the P90X workout DVD's and as tiring as they are,  I feel like they are really been helping me maintain a good amount of energy.  (oxymoron right?!)

And of course, half way through my whinning on this post, I found the image below posted at one of my favorite beauty blogs - Beauty Broadcast.  It's one of those things that you swear was posted just for me.

So, with that, I will end today with the things I AM thankful for ...

My health.  I have a heart beat, I feel good (96% of the time).
My rugrats...Jax and Issy.  I love them so much!
My husbands, who is an incredible provider and hard worker! I'm so proud to call him MINE.  In fact, he will be graduating from college next month, all while working full time with a family.  Yay!
My upcoming flight to Idaho. I can't wait to see my parents, my sister and her babies and my In-laws.
Summer!

I'm already feeling so much better...

We found a Farm...

A few months ago we took a little field trip to Wrights Dairy Farm in RI.  We thought it would be nice to take a break from the "city" and take the kids to a place where they could stretch their legs a little.

Not only did the kids get to run around to their hearts content, but we also got to pet some baby cows!  The highlight of the trip was watching the dairy cows getting milked!  Being that Wrights is a real working farm, we made sure that we picked up some fresh milk and freshly baked goods.  To date, we say that, that milk was the best we have had in a LONG time!
