Happy Halloween

(This was my inspiration)

Meet Bam Bam & Pebbles Flinstone...

I had so much fun making both of these costumes. They were easy to make and Issy loved having so much input on what she was going to wear this year. The weather has been 70 degrees this whole month...unfotunatly just yesterday the weather decided to cool drastically. Poor kids.

Here is the picture of the their first trick or treat door. Jackson loved getting candy, but didnt like meeting to chatting with new people. He loved saying bye, but he missed out on a lot of candy because he was so shy. Issy on the other hand, LOVED trick or treating. This was her best year yet...we ran from door to door and had so much fun seeing her bag fill up. So fun.

Pumpkin Patch

This year we decided to head south to Johnston, RI to pick our perfect Pumpkins at the pumpkin patch. The farm had everything you could imagine to entertain two kids for an entire afternoon. We started at the petting zoo. I am pretty sure we all fell in love with the donkeys. They are just too close to horses and their eyes beg for an extra handful of food and pats on their heads.
Later we played in the corn box, which they kids loved. We got lost in the corn maze...slid down the giant irrigation tube slide a few dozen times before ending our trip at the pumpkin patch. We had a blast!
Brandon wont admit it, but I think he has more fun carving pumpkin than the kids. This year he helped Issy carve an awesome warewolf, while Jax and I helped by carving out the guts and cleaing up. two days later, our pumpkin had hairy mold and we were forced to toss it before taking pictures. Bummer.

22 months old

Oh my! How you grow so fast! Everyday you get cuter, smarter and even more destructive ! Just the other day you laughed so hard as you unrolled and threw an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet! The week before that you got artistic and drew all over our beige couch with forrest green marker. However despite all of these acts of destruction your favorite things still include giving mommy and "amie" lots of besos, playing with sissy and running to Sandy the second we open the front door every evening! You eat well, and you are healthy. You love to help with chores and never fuss when we get you dressed in the mornings.
I love you more than ever!

Besos buddy!!!

Big Girl Party!!!

I know I a almost a month behind here, but the big girl birthday party pictures are finally up! This year we had Issy's birthday party at a Bowling Alley in North Attleboro. It was a blast! We were able to invite a lot of kids and all of them talked about how much fun they had weeks later!

Of course....Little Miss loved being the ceter of attention and enjoyed getting spoiled by all her friends.

The rest of the pictures will be up shortly! :)

Sept. 23, 2010

We have a birthday party planned for Issy and her friends at a bowling alley next week. When we moved she announced that was afraid that when we moved she wouldnt have anyone to celebrate her birthday with her. No family, No friends, but we knew better. We sent invitations last week and I was happy when I got a nice long friends list and lots of phone calls on her special day.

Dear Issy.

Happy Birthday Pretty Girl! We have been extreemly lucky that you have been a part of our lives for 7 beautiful years. I knew one day, we would look at your face and see a little girl, but I never imagined that this day would come so quickly. These days your favorite things include Webkins, webkins website, music (Hannah Montana, Taylor Swift etc) , you love watching cartoons on Disney channel, arts and crafts and being outside where you can run around. You are finally becoming aware of fashion (like the skinny jeans you requested for back to school) etc. I have been so naive thinking those things would come later on. You love to read books, which we love to see. Right now, you can't get enough of Where the Sidewalk Ends (thanks Nana) and the American Girl Books.
You are such a sweet and loving girl, stubborn a lot of the time, but you have this drive for learning and figuring things out that I love about you. Since you were little your biggest passion have been animals, last year you told us that you wanted to become a Zoologist.

There is so much we can talk about now. I love every single second. I wish I could keep you this way forever! You are my favorite daughter! I am so proud of you.

For your birthday we had you open presents. Nat's gift showed up about a week before your birthday to torture you, so we let you open hers first. Nat: Thank you for the awesome books, and Webkins. She loved everything!

For weeks, you begged us for Pumpkin Pie with Whipped Topping...That is exactly what you got! I must say, we all enjoyed it too. Yumm!

This one was the gift from Aunty Blanca, who overnighted her gift to make sure it came on time, however we also need to thank Grandma, Nanna and Nanny #2 in Flagstaff for sending Issy a little love. Know that Issy really wanted to spend all of you, but understood that we are just too far to make it possible and it meant a lot that everyone remembered her on her special day.
Love you all,

Toilet Lids

My kids do not lie. If anything they are too honest. The other day I was folding laundry when everything got really quiet all of a sudden. I knew...I so knew that something was up. A I went to look for Jax, when he came running at me with a worried look in his face and a big "oh-oh".
This is what I found....

he cleaned his ears, threw the q-tip in the toilet along with one of my make up brushes. Haha!

Great!!! So long make up brush!!!

This is why toilet lids must be closed AT ALL TIMES!! :)
