30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 18
Day 18 – Something you crave a lot
I'm always craving a vacation. Seriously. I am always wishing we could drop out of society for just a few days, while we splash around the beach of some deserted island. I imagine getting too much sun and eating fresh sea food and drinking a mojito.
Aah.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 15
Day 15 – Something you don’t leave the house without.
The only thing I never leave my house without is my purse. Right now it's full of old receipts I will never look at, 2-3 lip glosses, a set of work keys, business cards, scentsy cataloges, two small hot wheels cars, a small buzz light year wing, and of course my wallet. It's a mess! I like big purses, but the problem is that the bigger my purse is, the more I fill it with. Sort of like a mini van, that is why I will never own one. haha.
I have really thought about getting a cute little Wristlet like the one below. To me this feels like my old fun pre baby self. Maybe, just maybe if I forced myself to carry only carry the essentials ( Debit Card, lip gloss, etc) this cute Coach Wristlet would be my first choice.
If money was no object and I was somehow able to justify spending ($300+) on a handbag, my first choice would be this beautiful leather Coach handbag. It's timeless!!! I am seriously googly eye over it! Perhaps the price tag would force me to keep my purse perfectly organized.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 14
Day 14 – A TV show you’re currently addicted to.
This one is super easy. Right now I am super addicted to is Modern Family. I wake up on wednesday mornings and I seriously looking forward to the evening when I can finally come home, kick my feet up and watch my show. I DVR it so that after the kids have been put to bed, Bran and I can enjoy every single minute of it. I just laugh the entire time.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 13
Day 13 – Your favorite musician and why?
I dont have a favorite musician. What I have is a list of my favorite CD's, soundtracks or songs. These are not really in a particular order...its just what came to mind. I am sure I am going to be upset later when I remember a song or disk that I really liked and I forgot to write it down. Oh well right? okay...here is my list.

I am sure I am going to be upset later when I remember a song or disk that I really liked and I forgot to write it down. Oh well right? okay...here is my list.
1. Blink 182- Take off your pants and Jacket. That CD reminds me of the summer Brandon and I met and seeing them in concert together. It was the BEST CONCERT EVER! Anyway ALL of those songs remind me of Brandon. of us. of that summer! I love it. If I am having a good day, this is on.
2. Cold Play- I love almost every single Cold Play the song. Brandon and I went to go seem them in concert in Albuquerque too. It was a fabulous concert. We cuddled together on the grass and watched them play on a cool summer night. It was amazing!
3. Black Eye Peas- Who doesnt like these guys! I love to put this on when I clean, or when I work out. I love to play this around the house when the kids and I are bored- we jam! Again, its one of my favorites.
4. Officer and A Gentleman Soundtrack! I love the movie. I love every single song. I think I have purchased this CD twice becuase I have played it out....literally.
5. Kings of Leon- I love the lead singers voice!
6. Pink Floyd. Enough said.
7. Sublime. It reminds me of high school. I listened to them ALL the time.
8. Dave Mathews Band.
9. Something Corporate
10. New Found Glory.
11. Almost Famous Soundtrack!
All of them I could listen to Over and Over again.

30 Day Blog Challange: Day 12
Day 12 – A photograph of the town you live in.
This is a picture of our downtown area. This is the bypass to all of the nearby business, the public Library and the Train station, etc. The picture is actually quite small, and here by it self it seems some what insignificant, but this is a high traffic area...and it is really quite lovely in the winter when the lights are turned on. In the summer, the local towns people post expo signs up on that bridge too. Often you see people walking around to and from the grocery stores etc.

Boston Celtics Game
I bought Bran the tickets to the Celtics games for Christmas and we finally got to go. This was one of the best times I have had in a long time.
The arena was packed with Celtics fans who roared when they scored, Booed when the didnt - Dressed up like leprachauns, dressed like Nacho Libre...errr what? Yep. Little rugrats who wore their Jerseys with pride. Grown ups in full Celtics sweat suits. Ah! I tell you... it was amazing!

GOOO Celtics!!!
30 Day Blog Challage: Day 11
Day 11 – What’s in your makeup bag?
I used to have one of those big Caboodles filled with make up that I never used. After our third or perhaps our fourth move, I decided that I could live without all the old (probably expired) make up. Now, the I am back to the basics. I have foundation, powder, a couple black eyeliners, 2-3 mascaras (becuase I have yet to find a favorite), a little eye shadow set and blush. BORING!

What I want to do is just throw everything out and make an appointment with one of those make up consultants. The only thing that worries me is that I would leave the chair looking like a Las Vegas Drag Queen. I have nothing against them, I just dont want to look like one of them. I want to look like myself, but better. Easy right?
30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 10
Day 10 – A photo of your favorite place to eat.
There is no way that I could only choose one place to call my favorite, so I had to post a few pictures. THESE are some of my favorite places to eat. No, they are not in any particular order. They are just some of my favorite places to go for different reason. The funny thing is that it's been months since I/we have eaten at ANY one of these places. The only one I am eating at regularly, is at El Rancho Grade. Because it's close to my work and their Mexican food is absolutely amazing. Everything is Fresh. Dont get me started or I will start to drool!

30 Day Blog Challange: Day 9
Day 9 – A photo of the item you last purchased
Besides the usual groceries, and household items, this is the last item I purchased. A pair of shoes for me. This pair is called "Audrey" from ShoeDazzle.com. I signed up for this online shopping site and they do all of the work for me. All I have to do is go back and choose which shoes like. I never question expenses for my kids, but I never do things like this for myself. It's time to start.

30 Day Blog Challange: Day 8
DAY 8: A SONG TO MATCH YOUR MOOD...
For Christmas I got Brandon a pair of tickets to the Boston Celtics game! His exact words were, I dont care who they play. I just want to be there! Basketball is probably the only profesional game I have the attention span to watch from begining to end so I got him the tickets. Now, I am the best wife in the world. I got the sitter set up for the evening. The only thing Bran had to worry about was leaving work early so we could catch the train on time. We were both looking forward to this night ALL week long!
We had to change trains 3-4 times to the TD Garden Center. The last train was filled with fans...all heading to our final destination. Little kids dressed in Green from head to toes, women wearing green wigs. You get the picture. It was awesome!!!
In honor or our super sweet night ALONE in the City of Boston, surrounded with thousands of crazy Celtics fans and a beer in our hands...I give you the Dropkick Murphy's I am shipping off to Boston

30 Day Blog Challange: Day 7
Day 7 – Your dream wedding.
If I could re-live our wedding and money was no object, I would definatly pick a small, intimate destination wedding for my groom and the whole clan. The first place that comes to mind is an Italian villa, stocked full of yummy cheese, bread and VINO!!! Oh, la la! We would tour the villages, and surrounding areas for a few days before the wedding. On the wedding day, I worry about nothing becuase every detail has already been taken care of. Myy dress would be a simple, elegant dress to go with our country side wedding. My hair would be down, wavy and free to dance with the breeze! I could see us getting married under an olive tree, while holding a bouquet of wild flowers. The ceremony would be short, and sweet. The reception would start with a wine tasting...followed by tons and tons of authentic dishes. People would eat, dance and laugh till all hours of the night.

1-11-11
Eight years ago today seal the deal with a kiss! I remember packing up our things, filling up our little car to the brim, and then hitting the road a few days later. Our parents thought we were crazy for getting married so young, but we didnt care becuase we had to be together. Well, we have grown up a lot since that cool January day, but the one thing that hasnt changed is how much I still love you. The life we have created together has made up the very best years of my life. Happy Anniversary Blue Eyes! Here's to 100 more crazy years together!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 6
Day 6 – A photo of an animal you’d love to keep as a pet.
One funny thing that I am sure most people dont know about me, is how much I absolutely love horses. I do! If I could have a "pet", I guess this would be it! They are so magnificent! My first encounter with horses was during the summer of my freshman year of high school. I was vacationing with a friend and her family in South Padre Island, TX. We had decided that it would be fun to take tour of the island by horse. Incredible dont you think? I am pretty short to begin with, but next to my horse, I felt even smaller. I was so intimidated, and a little scared- that is until I took a glance at the big brown eyes my horse had. Full of life! A happy horse!
As we started to trot along the beach slowly, the horse pulled me along so easily. The beach was really uneven and I felt like I bounced around through the air. I heald on to dear life. It wasnt until almost the end of our tour that I started to build my confidence and I dared to go just a little bit faster. What rush! It was so Amazing!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 5
Day 5 – A photo of yourself two years ago.
Okay...I cheated a little and I posted 3 pictures instead of just one. Can you blame me? This was me two years ago...absolutely "in love" with this brand new little boy! I think I spent most of my time staring at him, hugging him, singing to him and waking him up from his naps just so I could kiss him some more. It's funny how fast time passes. I remember being the exact same way in 2003 when Issy was born.

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 3
Day 3 – Your idea of the perfect first date...
He is knocking at the door. I am nervous, excited and I have no clue what we are doing. I am give myself another once over to make sure I look my best. I am wearing someting new, chic and super comfortable! He meets me at the bottom of the stair case, where he has not been able to take his eyes off me and hands me a bundle of Gerbera Daisis (my favorite). My family smiling from ear to ear in approval. My date is tall, handsome and confident. He opens the car door for me. We are on our way to the City. We enter the lobby of a hip bar, were we sip on our cocktails getting to know each other better. It's busy, but we only see each other. Suddlenly he looks at the clock, says he has a suprise. We walk a couple blocks to a park, where to my suprise our favorite band is playing. He leads me to bench, reserved and just the right size for a couple to sit on. He offers me his jacket and he wraps his arm around me. Half way through the concert, a song comes on...before the lyrics start he leans over to say how this song reminds him of how we met. We giggle. eeer...I giggle!
After the show, we walk to a casual restaurant, where we can't stop talking. We have so much in common! After closing down the restaurant, he drives me home only this time he plays "our song again". As he is walking me up to my house, he tells me he wants to do it again. We Kiss!
Ugh...I know...this is totally cheesy! This was the toughest thing to write for me. I am so sporatic, one minute I thought the perfect first date would be one thing, then next another. Then I changed my mind again. B. For the record, I dont care where or what we do on another "first" date, as long as we are childless, you hold my hand , and you make me laugh as much as you usually do. A cute outfit would also be a must. xoxo!!!

30 Day Blog Challenge: Day 2
Day 2 – A photo of something you ate today.
About a month and a half ago I found the best mexican food restaurant located right around the corner from where I work. When I first found it, I was addicted and would literally go in about 2-3 times a week. The people there know who I am now...its sort of nice nice and also just a tiny bit embarrasing. I guess not enough to keep me away though. =) For those who do not live in the New England area you are probably thinking "oh Mexican food big deal" but around these parts good mexican food is not easy to come by. In fact, I have only seen 3 restaurants since I have lived here in the past six months. When we have gone in to try them (in my experience) the food was horrible. You get all dressed up, pack the kids, and then leave with that unfufilled craving.... It's such a disapointment.
Tonight, I decided that since I had already hit the mexican place up for lunch, there was NO WAY I could show up again for a dinner pick up. No Way! I decided to just come home, and make my own mexican taco concoction. It was good. They kids are not very adventurous...so it was mostly Bran and I that ate. A little tomato, cilantro, limes...yum!
Unfortunatly, we were starving, and we ate our goods up rather quickly. The only thing left were the limes. Anyway...
The bottom line is: Next time you guys are sitting in a mexican restaurant, enjoying you chips and salsa...and even hopefully your margarita or cervesa...think of us here in the shadows of the mexican-less options and truly ENJOY!

Day 30 – A photograph of yourself today + three good things that have happened in the past
And so my 30 day challenge begins...
Today, my alarm went off much, much earlier than I expected. 5:30 am always comes a lot faster than we expect, no? Ugh. I woke up cursing myself for not going to bed earlier the night before, and promising myself (as I stumbled into the shower) to make up for my lack of sleep tonight. The rest of the morning went about as smooth as anyone could hope for. The kids were happy, and I even had time to pack my lunch (this never happens!!!). It was a good start. Work tends to go by pretty fast. I work a little, chit chat with our tenants here and there, work a little more, chit chat some more...I do this all the way till the end of my work day. Believe it or not, I do actually get quite a bit of work done this way because my brain doesnt get fried.
The only thing that made today a little different than usual was the boring eye exam I had scheduled. One of my New Year Resolutions was to "make time" for myself. I know an eye exam hardly seems like " Me Time" but I am taking care of myself and that is a working progress. A year ago I would have just ignored my blurry vision until it was convinient (aka never). I am glad I went, turns out, I only have ONE bad eye. If I wanted, I could get A Contact or a pair of glasses. Ha-ha I totally got a kick out of the Doctor telling me that.
Right now, I am lying in bed with Issy. The littlest one is already in bed. I made them spagetti for dinner, which is their absolute favorite meal. I am just waiting for Mother Family, and then I am hitting the sack. =) Good night!
P.S. the picture below, is an oldie but goodie! This picture was taken when Issy was just two years old. It made me smile. I hope it makes you smile too.
